From July 14-18, the second edition of the PANACEA International Summer School on Placebo and Nocebo took place in Faenza, Italy. The event was made possible through the support of the Comune di Faenza and the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
Thirty students, six from each partner university (UNIBO, JU, ULEI, KU, UCM), came together for a memorable week of academic lectures, group projects, and engaging social activities. The program offered a deep dive into placebo and nocebo phenomena, focusing on their mechanisms, clinical relevance, and ethical implications.
Interactive sessions and lively group discussions encouraged critical thinking and inspired innovative thinking about the integration of placebo research into healthcare.
